Liechtenstein Post: Postal services limited due to the current crisis situation around the world

Liechtenstein Post Said on his official site :

The Liechtensteinische Post AG supports the measures taken by the state government in relation to the coronavirus and is responsible for the health of our employees and customers as well as for the provision of essential postal services. As of Tuesday 17 March 2020, it has become necessary to take various measures that will affect the postal services. These procedures apply until further notice.

    Registered shipments in Post Liechtenstein

For the protection of our employees and customers, all registered letters and parcels are delivered to the letterbox in the letterbox without acknowledgment of receipt from the recipient until further notice. The deliverer himself acknowledges the receipt with the mention of “Corona”. The receipt of official shipments and cash on delivery paperless must be confirmed by the recipient as before.

    Delivery Restrictions

In order to reduce the risk of infection for all delivery personnel, from Tuesday 17 March 2020, letter mail will be distributed alternately by day and region. This means that deliveries to the southern municipalities (Balzers, Triesen, Triesenberg, Vaduz, Schaan, and Planken) are made only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, the mail is delivered to the northern municipalities (Rogel, Gambrin, Bendern, Eschen, Maureen, Schellenberg, Schaanwald, Nindlen).

Under these circumstances, delivery is made on the corresponding delivery day. Because of this measure, exceptional deliveries will also be made on a public holiday on Thursday, March 19, 2020, in the northern municipalities.

Parcels are delivered daily as usual in the municipalities of Balzers, Triesen, Vaduz, and Schaan. In other municipalities, postal parcels are delivered by courier according to the form described above.

Early delivery of the newspaper can continue to be guaranteed as usual. In the case of directed newspapers delivered with regular delivery, there will be a delay of up to two days in individual cases.

At the moment, there are no restrictions on courier services and evening deliveries (such as food orders).

Post Liechtenstein offices with open counters will be temporarily closed, and opening hours for all other open post offices will be extended

As the risk of injury to staff and customers also increases when counters are opened, all post offices with open counters will be closed from Tuesday 17 March 2020. This concerns post offices in Balzers, Triesenberg, Vaduz, Eschen and Ruggell.

Post offices in Triesen, Schaan, Gamprin, and Mauren will remain open. In order to give our customers better access to these post offices, the working hours of all open post offices are standardized and in some cases extended as follows:

Post Liechtenstein opening times from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm (non-stop)
    Saturday 9 am – 11 am
Post Liechtenstein items will continue to be delivered at all post offices. Correspondence is uniformly available from 8:00 AM in mailboxes.

    Adjustments to reported shipments

Due to the temporary closure of post offices, mail and parcels that have been notified of home delivery and mailbox delivery at regular agencies can no longer be received. As of March 17, 2020, the distribution of the reported shipments will be organized as follows:

Shipments that have been notified to Balzers and Triesenberg can now be collected from the Triesen Post Office.
Shipments notified to Vaduz can now be collected from the Schaan Post Office.
Shipments notified to Eschen can now be collected from the Mauren Post Office.
Shipments notified to Ruggell can now be collected from the Gamprin Post Office.
    We ask for your understanding

Postal partners offer in Nendeln, Schaanwald and Schellenberg is temporarily available as usual due to continued primary supply as a grocer.

The measures that Post Liechtenstein AG will take will focus on the health and protection of employees and customers, as well as on maintaining the basic postal service. The management of the Liechtensteinische Post AG understands that these measures are a burden on people, businesses, and the economy in Liechtenstein. However, we hope that all stakeholders understand these measures. We also call in case of delayed delivery and access network to a greater extent to refrain from any complaint on this subject, so as not to increase the available jobs unnecessarily. Thank you so much.
